Wonders of Nature: A Journey Through Time

Exploring fifteen years of painting, memory, movement, and the natural world.

Over the past fifteen years, my paintings have been shaped by a continuing fascination with nature—not as something to simply observe, but as something to experience. Wonders of Nature: A Journey Through Time brings together works from different periods of my practice, revealing recurring ideas, colors, gestures, and emotions that have emerged naturally over time.

I am drawn to the movement of water, shifting light, changing seasons, and the quiet energy within the landscape. Rather than recreating a particular place, I use these experiences as a starting point, allowing color, texture, and expressive marks to transform them into something more personal and abstract.

Looking across this body of work, I can see how my approach has evolved while certain instincts remain constant. I build each painting intuitively, adding and removing layers until the composition finds its balance. Some marks are deliberate; others happen through chance. Together, they create a visual language that reflects the unpredictability and beauty of nature itself.

For me, a painting is complete when the elements begin to feel connected—when color, movement, texture, and space come together naturally. I hope these works encourage viewers to pause, look beyond the surface, and find their own memories, emotions, and sense of wonder within the paintings.

Wonders of Nature is not simply a collection of landscapes. It is a record of an ongoing relationship with the natural world—and a journey through the way that relationship continues to change.
